GERMANY’s FKK CLUBS AND SANUA CLUBS: A GENERAL FAQ (We wrote this 2000 Long before most fans even knew what an FKK Club was)
OVERVIEW: WHY GERMANY?
We recommend Germany’s FKK Clubs and Sauna clubs for three reasons:
- Price and Atmosphere
- Quality of Service
- Selection
Price. This is still reasonable, even at today’s unfavorable exchange rates, because of the high quality of service. Entry fees range from 30 to 70 EUR ($36-$84 US). This allows use of all facilities (showers, towels, saunas, swimming pools, fitness equipment) and unlimited trips to the non-alcohol bar and buffet table, if offered. Many clubs have special parties and events to attract customers, and you’re welcome to stay as long as you like. Cost per session averages 50 EUR ($60 US) across the clubs.
Quality of Service. You’ve probably seen terms such as “GFE” or “No Taboos” used to describe the service at FKK Clubs or Sauna Clubs. (See next section for definitions of these and other terms.) At the better ones, activities such as BBBJ, French kissing, and mutual touching, both in the lounge and in a private room, are standard and not charged extra. These clubs have such standards to ensure consistent service. Remember, the majority of customers are locals who visit often, so the clubs must keep them coming back.
Selection. Most clubs employ women from all over the world. You’re not limited to Asians, as you would be in Thailand, or Latinas, as you would be in Mexico or Brazil. Whatever your physical preference (blonde, brunette, redhead, dark-skinned, light-skinned, tall, petite, slender, voluptuous, enhanced, natural, Playboy bunny, or girl-next-door), you’ll find it in the FKK clubs.
WHAT DO THESE TERMS MEAN?
FKK. “Freikörperkultur” (“Free Body Culture” in English). The term actually refers to nudist colonies, but FKK and Sauna clubs adopted it as both the women and customers inside are nude (or wear towels at most).
Sauna. The club has sauna facilities: dry, damp, or both. Some clubs will use “FKK Sauna Club” and others just “Sauna Club” in their official names. But, the term “sauna” doesn’t always refer to sex. It can refer to a standard spa offering non-sexual massages. Look for the signs, such as business hours. If the establishment closes at 5 or 6 PM, it’s a standard spa. Sex-related establishments close at 10 PM or later.
GFE. Stands for “Girl Friend Experience.” This describes the high level of service commonly available at FKK clubs. A GFE is less like a paid session and more like that provided by a lover or a girlfriend.
No Taboo. (“Tabulos” in German). Both FKK clubs and Sauna clubs use this term to describe their service. It means just what is says. Almost anything goes here, depending on the lady.
IS THIS LEGAL?
Yes, but it depends on the local governments. Some allow FKK clubs or Sauna clubs, while others allow only swingers’ clubs, or “Partytreffs.” The clubs use the terms “FKK” or “Sauna Club” to create a public image that doesn’t overtly suggest prostitution. Note that both the women and guests pay a fee to enter the club. The women pay to work for the day, while the guests pay to use the facilities. The club provides the party rooms, and what happens in them is between consenting adults. So, there is nothing illegal about your visit to an FKK Club or Sauna Club, even though authorities have occasionally raided certain clubs. This is to remove undocumented workers or prosecute other public violations (tax evasion, etc.). The most notable club to have been raided in 2002 is FKK-Atlantis (more here.)

WHAT ARE SOME RECOMMENDED FKK CLUBS OR SAUNA CLUBS?
Planet Happy Garden (Oedt, near Düsseldorf). Bar atmosphere. Ladies wear bikinis or lingerie, guests wear robes. Great selection of ladies, generally from Eastern Europe. Good pricing: 25 EUR ($30 US) per 30-minute session, plus 25 EUR (one-time charge) for BBBJ. Relaxed pace, no pressure.
Bernd’s Saunaclub (Lichtenberg, near Köln). Smaller club (8 to 15 women). True definition of FKK. There’s a lack of inhibitions here, and the service is always excellent. Food available all day.
FKK-Oase (near Frankfurt), FKK World (Gießen, near Frankfurt). Two of the larger clubs in the Frankfurt area. Daily brunch and dinner buffets. Good, varied selection of ladies. Downside: can get crowded, service can be iffy, some guests tend to be rude.
FKK-Club-Babylon (Elsdorf, near Köln) Some of the best service in the north. Strict rules for the lady’s conduct: high heels, no towels, greet customers at the door, spend time with customers after sessions. Some ladies complain, but these rules help make Babylon a standout club. Daily evening buffet.

WHAT TYPICALLY HAPPENS IN AN FKK OR SAUNA CLUB?
In a nutshell: A good full-service lady will provide French kissing and a BBBJ in the lounge. She probably won’t ask to go to the room until you say so. Couch time may last 10-20 minutes, depending on the lady. Your billable time does not start until you both enter the room. Inside, almost anything goes. The activities are limited by only her and your boundaries.
NOTE: Be careful here. There’s a line between being friendly and leading the lady on. If you don’t plan on going to the room with the lady you’re sitting with, then don’t start any activities that might lead her to believe otherwise. Light touching and kissing is usually fine. If you start groping, touching erogenous zones, or engaging in heavy kissing, then you’ve basically committed yourself to going to the room. It’s considered exceptionally bad form to break things off at this point, as well as to spend more than a few minutes talking with her. Don’t lead her on or waste her time. If word gets out among the other ladies that you like to take liberties or waste their time, then you will be branded as a troublemaker and avoided. And, the long-term result could be that fewer ladies will be willing to spend couch time with customers and will want to go directly to the room instead. Your behavior can impact the experience for everyone else, so keep that in mind.
After your session, she’ll give you a hug and a kiss, walk you back to the lounge, and ask if you want a drink. Take a seat, accept your drink, relax, shower, and repeat as many times as your energy level and finances allow. Of course, you’ll need to pay for the session. See the next section for payment details.
HOW DO I PAY?
Depends on the club. There are two types: Pay when you leave and Pay as you go.
Pay when you leave clubs: Babylon, Bernd’s, Dolce Vita, Sudbad, and Wiago.
You pay both entry and session fees at the bar when you leave. After each session, give the lady your locker key number so she can report it to the receptionist, who totals your bill.
Pay as you go clubs: Oase, Sharks, Palace, FKK World, Planet Happy Garden.
You pay your entry fee to the receptionist when you first enter. You pay the lady directly after each session. If a club has separate lockers (one for clothes and one for wallets) then you know you’re at a Pay as you go club. The wallet locker is in usually the lounge or bar area so you have easy access. Sometimes, you have only one locker for your clothes and money, and you’ll walk the lady to the locker room and pay her there.
NOTE: There are other clubs where you pay your entry fee when you arrive and your session fees when you leave.
Extras. Anal sex and mouth finishes are extras. Expect to pay an extra 25 to 50 Euros ($30-$60 US) for them. Some women offer these services, some don’t. Ask the bartender or the woman herself. Some women may not charge extra for mouth finishes, but that’s rare. Never force anything on them that they don’t want to do!
TIP: Don’t pay in US dollars, as you’ll lose in the exchange.
HOW MUCH TIME DO I GET IN THE ROOM?
It depends on the club. At Babylon or Bernd’s, you’re not always timed, but the general rule is 30 minutes per room visit. Sometimes, you can go overtime and not be charged extra. If the lady likes you and has a good time with you, she may not be strict with time.
At Oase, Dolce Vita, and Happy Garden, time is usually a factor (20 to 30 minutes, usually strictly timed). It can start from the moment you sit on the couch with her. See the next section for details.
WHAT SHOULD I WATCH OUT FOR?
Being overcharged. It’s rare, but it can happen at certain clubs where you pay the lady directly after each session. It does not happen at clubs where you pay the receptionist when you leave.
How to avoid? First, know the prices. Ask the receptionist or other customers if you’re not sure. Never ask the lady how much you owe. You’re setting yourself up to be ripped off. Some guys don’t mind, as it’s still inexpensive as compared to the US, but you encourage the ladies to take advantage of other customers. That can damage the pricing vs. service structure, and is why you often hear that Germans don’t like non-locals. Don’t contribute to that sentiment. Remember that we, as outsiders, are not the focus of the clubs.
Second, remember that time spent on the couch should not count towards your bill. If the lady tries to charge for kissing or talking, threaten to go to the receptionist. Don’t give her any more than the session fee and then figure you’ll talk to management later. Most of the good clubs want your business and if you complain you will always win. The ladies want you to think otherwise. Customers make this business work, and without them the clubs would close.
But, be fair. Time is money for her. Don’t talk with her for more than 5 minutes and then decline to party with her. If you call her over and then waste her time talking for an hour, don’t be surprised if you’re charged extra. In fact, you should pay extra in this case.
Aggressive women. At some clubs (Oase, FKK World), women are allowed to approach you. Some are sincere, but others pick you out and play you. Some won’t accept “No” for an answer and try to pressure you. She may even begin touching you, which can lead to a BBBJ. If it goes this far, she could insist that you permitted it and must go to the room to finish. If you’re not interested, politely but firmly tell her so. Tell her she may do better with one of the other guests, and then move away.
At clubs where the women are not allowed to approach you (Bernd’s, Babylon), some will try to make eye contact. If you return her look, she may think you’re interested and approach you. Don’t look directly into her eyes if you’re not interested.
Towels. In an FKK club, the women are supposed to be totally nude. Yet, some wear a towel or a sarong. A towel around the hips can hide scars, stretch marks, or a large behind. A towel around the mid-section can hide tummy stretch marks, sagging breasts or no breasts, or a huge tattoo on the back. Look for this at Dolce Vita, Oase, FKK World, and Palace, especially during Lingerie Nights (Dessous Partys), which German customers tend to avoid.
Lingerie Days at select clubs:
- FKK-35 (Frankfurt): Wednesday
- FKK-Oase: Thursday
- FKK Club-Babylon: Friday
- Dolce Vita: Offically Saturday, but women can wear what they want on other days
- Bernd’s Saunaclub: no Dessous Tag, women are nude every day. NOTE: Bernd’s is closed weekends.
Language barrier. Don’t expect everyone to speak English. Some ladies do speak a little. Most don’t or won’t, because they’re afraid of making mistakes. Find a German/English dictionary or a German language book and learn a few words. It’s not difficult. Or, see our conversational tips here.
Grudges. Sometimes, a lady you’ve been with before expects you to go with her the next time you visit her club. She may think you’ve returned just to see her, and get upset if you go with someone else. Again, this is rare, but it happens.
If you see her again, acknowledge her so she doesn’t think you’re ignoring her. (This may be what bothers her the most). If she asks why you don’t want to go with her again, be honest, tell her you want variety. Most ladies understand this. Those who don’t are usually trouble. Stay away from them.
HOW DO I SELECT A GOOD LADY?
Give a lady you’re interested in this test: Spend a few minutes talking to her. When she asks you to go to a room, politely tell her you may do so later. Then, leave for a few moments and return to her. See how she treats you then. If she’s still nice, that’s a good sign. If she is angry, then she may not be sincerely nice, and therefore not right for you. See the next section for more tips on selection.
WHAT MAKES FOR A GOOD PARTY?
Chemistry. Use your intuition to help you decide. Don’t always go by her appearance. Good looks don’t always mean good service. If you get a good feeling about a lady, sit and talk with her for a few minutes. See how she responds. If you can’t communicate verbally, go by her body language. If she’s receptive, take things further. If she’s not, take that as a sign and politely leave.
Skills. Good chemistry is important, but what makes for a good party depends most on the lady’s skills. Is she good at what she does? Is she into it? Note the most popular ladies in any club. They are not always the prettiest, youngest, or best-built. Their good skills make the difference.
WHAT ARE THE BEST CLUBS FOR FIRST-TIMERS?
- FKK-World
- Bernd’s Saunaclub
You will usually be treated well at either club and won’t have to worry about being ripped off.
TIP: When they ask you at any club if you’ve been there before, answer “No, not this club, but others.” This will get you a thorough explanation of that club and help you avoid being seen as a newbie.
Bernd’s and Happy Garden occasionally turn away customers, but that’s based less on nationality and more on demeanor. If you look like you may cause trouble, you may not be let in. The moral: Appear friendly and dress in a manner that doesn’t remind people of gang members or hoodlums.
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT?
September to May offers the best selection at the clubs. Avoid the summer months (June-August). It’s hard to find a hotel room then, especially when a convention is in town. Also, rental car rates are higher and crowds are everywhere, as Europeans typically take the entire summer to travel. As for the clubs, many of the Eastern Bloc ladies decide to visit their families then, so the selection is less. You’ll also find a slightly smaller selection during the Christmas holidays, as some ladies travel during that time. Still, the clubs remain open except for Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.
If you can, try to visit a club during the shift change (usually 6 PM – 8 PM). That way, you can see both the day and evening shifts and have a larger selection. Also, try to make repeat visits to the same club over a few days. This will give you a better idea of how the club really operates, what the overall level of service is, etc.
CAN I TAKE HER PICTURE?
It depends. Some women permit photos. Others want a tip first. Others won’t let you at all. Sometimes, management asks to be present to make sure your photos won’t reflect badly on the club. Always ask first, and do so before your session, not after it.
NOTE: Some clubs (like Oase) don’t allow guests to bring in cameras. If your camera is small enough to conceal, then you could sneak it into the room and ask the lady after the session and before you leave the the room. But, you’re taking a chance that club management could find out about it. If they do, they may throw out both you and your camera.
CAN I MEET HER OUTSIDE THE CLUB?
At the best FKK clubs, the women treat every man like a lover, whether fat, old, ugly, dark, light, or green behind the ears. That’s her job, and she’s not there to be picked up, no matter how well she treats you or if she gives you her cell number. Club management frowns on outdates and may discipline her for them. if a lady working at ANY club is really interested in you, she’ll get your number and call you.
WHAT ABOUT PUBLIC SEX?
A good place to experience public sex or a threesome is Bernd’s Saunaclub. Tell the lady you’re interested in that you want a threesome, and allow her to choose the other lady herself. Total cost: 100 EUR ($120 US).
OTHER POINTS TO REMEMBER
- Each lady is different. So, what works with one lady may not work with another. YMMV.
- Wear a watch and note the time you enter the room or sit with her. Relax and take your time.
- If you visit over the years you’ll note that clubs and people change and everyone has different experiences. You can’t always expect the same service. Keep an open mind.
- Treat everyone with respect. Take care when drinking and don’t be too loud. When in Germany, do as the Germans do.
